April 9th 2005.

The second mixed ability agility day was held by the South West Walkers near Clearwell on April 9th 2005. The day started sunny and dry and there was an excellent turn out of Vizslas and local Agility fans. The trainers were Trisha Hollingshead and Gillian. The day was organised by Cathy Austin, the food was catered by Cath Carter.

The group of 20 dogs were split up into two groups : complete beginners and those who had done some agility before , even in an informal style.

Half of the group started on the weavers, jumps and table ....

Left: Emily and Kayla

Right: Amber and Cath

The other half of the group started on tunnels and the A Frame.

Left : Sonia and Sorrel.

Right: Shane

Left:Gill Thomas

Right: Sue Conway and Roo

Left: Hugh Cromie and Cooper

Right: Paul McNulty and Leski

Left: At lunch time there was time for a group picture of all the Vizslas.

Left: Half of Cathy A's Kenazorora "K" Litter, Mollie, Edie, Kobi and Keera all came along to socialize....

Right: The indispensable Sue Baker with Cath and Cathy.

After lunch we started to put the whole course together. Alan Kimberley proves to be an excellent tunnel supporter!

Left: Hattie

Right: Rubi

At the end of the day the raffle was drawn and all handlers got a rosette. There were 4 special rosettes for dogs or handler judged to have improved most over the course of the day.

After all that we all got to do the course in its entirety.

Left: Nattie with Chris as bait!

Left: Juliet and Woody.

Right: Heather and Tilly

Left: Amanda Baker helps give out the rosettes, donated by Amanda Roche.

Right: Linda is pleased with her "improvers" rosette!

Cath C and Cathy A would like to thank everyone who came along and supported the day, but special thanks must go to The Baker mob for their help and support, it wouldn't be the same without you lot!

Possibly most important thing is that we raised over £200 for rescue taking the total raised by the South West Walkers to £710!

Well done everyone!
