Agility Day November 2004

An Agility Day was held at Bearse Farm in St Briavels near Chepstow on November 21st 2004. This event was attended by 14 enthusiastic Vizslas and 4 Honorary Vizslas from all over the country. The trainer was Trisha Hollingshead, ably assisted by Hillary Bowden , we all found then both to be knowledgeable and excellent at ensuring everyone had a good time.

The day was organised by Cathy Austin, the catering was provided by Cath Carter.

Luka goes over the A Frame

Cath C, Cathy A and Amanda Baker try to work out how they can provide 40 hot meals with only one working microwave! Luka and Amber are not contributing much to the plan!

Lunch was provided by Cath Carter with willing assistants Cathy Austin and Sue Baker. We were very glad to have something hot to eat. Burgers, sausages and chips went down very well, with mince pies and cream for dessert !

Thanks to everyone for being so patient while we battled with the microwaves...

By the end of the afternoon every dog was able to complete the whole course and all received a round of appaluse for their efforts especially Karen Whitcombe who completed the most spectacular back flip!

At the end of the day we held a raffle with prizes donated by Cathy and Rich Austin , Cath Carter and Jon Harris. Amongst the winners were Amanda Baker, The Harris Kids and The Richards Kids!

A total of nearly £200 was raised for breed rescue and we hope to hold another day in the new year, if people want us to that is!
